A new Gallup poll this week has revealed that Americans believe tobacco based products are more dangerous than pot.
According to the poll, 82% of the respondents said that cigarettes are “very harmful” while 14% said they think they are “somewhat harmful.”
24% of the respondents said that marijuana was “not too harmful” and 18% said they believe marijuana is “not at all” harmful.
38% of the respondents believe that e-cigs or “vaping” is “very harmful.”
The poll was conducted over the phone and surveyed 1,033 American adults from July 1st to July 11th. The poll has a margin of error of 4 percentage points.
