Starting next week, Pennsylvania registered medical marijuana patients will be able to get medical marijuana in dry leaf and flower form.
The state’s governor’s office said that dry leaf marijuana would be available at about a dozen dispensaries starting August 1st.
Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine accepted the change in April, which is a more affordable form of medicine and was recommended by an advisory panel.
“Governor Wolf believes that the introduction of dry leaf will mean more options and lower costs for many consumers, and demonstrates Pennsylvania’s commitment to maximize the impact, accessibility and benefits of our medical marijuana program for patients in need,” said governor Tom Wolf’s office on Friday.
