What is someone else’s abandoned factory is another company’s huge indoor marijuana facility.

A used to be Pepsi factory in Pueblo County, Colorado, has been re-born into an indoor growing marijuana facility.

Holding company Doyen Elements bought the 104,000 square-foot old bottling plant and it is being revamped into a marijuana facility that will be completed by 2019. The facility could possibly produce up to 70,000 pounds of marijuana flower annually.

According to Forbes, Doyen Elements is a real estate investment firm that is making money in legal marijuana without ever even touching the drug.

The plant is located at 1900 South Freeway in Pueblo County, an area that has been seriously struggling in recent years. The legal cannabis industry could help the area from becoming any worse.

Since 2014 when the first dispensary opened in the area, over 100 retailers have created more than 1,300 jobs in the industry.
