Recreational marijuana is now legal to purchase and sell in California, but that doesn’t mean you can start smoking it where ever you want.
The Los Angeles Police Department has warned that the use of marijuana needs to be done responsibly.
The Assistant Chief Michael Moore said on Tuesday, “The use of marijuana needs to be done in a responsible manner that’s consistent with the law.”
Driving under the influence of marijuana is illegal as is consuming it in public. No one under the age of 21 is allowed to purchase or consume the drug.
Moore said, “Those are all illegal actions. And the department will take aggressive action in enforcing the law.”
