In the first six months of Nevada allowing the legal sale of recreational marijuana, there has been a lot of money brought in, especially in tax revenue.

Nevada began the recreational legal sale of marijuana on July 1st of last year.

The state has made over $30 million in tax revenue according to the revenue numbers released by the Nevada Department of Taxation on Friday.

According to the figures, roughly $19.5 million came from the special 10% sales tax on almost $200 million worth of recreational marijuana that had been sold in the state.

Nevada dispensaries sold about $35.8 million in recreational marijuana in the month, up from $33.4 in November, said the Tax Department.
