Lawmakers in the state of New Jersey have written the latest bill that would legalize marijuana in the state.

According to NJ Advance Media, which obtained a copy of that plan this week, the bill calls for what may be the lowest marijuana taxes in the nation at 10%. It also includes weed delivery and smoking lounges where people can smoke outside of their homes.

The bill would legalize the possession and personal use of small amounts of the drug for adults aged 21 and over. It would also create, regulate, and tax a commercial marijuana industry in New Jersey.

Politico New Jersey has reported that Gov. Phil Murphy was not happy with the tax being lower than expected which means this could change after negotiations.

Murphy said during an unrelated news conference that they had “not hardened a position on taxes.”

“We typically don’t talk about legislation while they’re getting baked. We’re not ruling anything out. We want to get it right.”
