A woman in New Jersey has been arrested for trying to sell marijuana on Craig’s List.
According to Bloomfield police, they had recovered $1,437 in cash as well as six ounces of marijuana from a suspected “high volume” drug dealer.
Amanda Rodriguez, is a 29-year old mother, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public park, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, and endangering the welfare of a child.
According to police, they had received an anonymous tip about a Craigslist poster who was searching for a buyer for marijuana. Officer Matthew Rubbianaccio contacted Rodriguez and arranged to purchase drugs at the Quick Chek on Broad Street over the weekend.
The police said in a statement that Rodriguez told the officer to enter her vehicle, where he found her 12-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter, police said in a statement.
Rubbianaccio’s partner, Officer Ray Diaz, arrested Rodriguez.
The children were turned over to the state Department of Children and Families.
