The NFL Draft is just months away and the sentiment towards testing positive for marijuana is changing.

There was a time when testing positive for marijuana use would have hurt a player’s chance of being drafted, but this may not be the case anymore.

According to a Bleacher report, several NFL executives have said that testing for marijuana at the combine is not a deal breaker the way it once was.

Before testing for marijuana led to the automatic suspension of a player. Now there is a higher emphasis on a player’s criminal history and even domestic abuse is more worrisome.

Testing for marijuana is still not a bright idea so considering players have months to prepare, it’s better to stop using the drug for the test.
