New regulations that went into force last week in the country of Poland, now allows that marijuana from important plants can be processed in the country’s pharmacies.
The new regulations stipulate that it must be logged with the country’s Office for Registration of Medical Products.
November 1st marked the first day that marijuana can be legally sold in Polish pharmacies and the pharmacists are ready.
According to the Polish Pharmaceutical Chamber, pharmacists in the country are already ready to start making the drugs.
A spokesman commented, “Given the fact that there are nearly 15,000 pharmacies in Poland, an overwhelming majority is authorized to make prescription drugs – that’s around 90 percent.
“It is estimated that up to 300,000 patients could qualify for medical marijuana treatment.”
The country’s new laws allow for marijuana to be used to treat many ailments that include epilepsy, chemotherapy induced nausea, chronic pain and symptoms of multiple sclerosis.
