Wyoming city workers were startled to find that in the community potted plants was actual real marijuana growing.
Powell, Wyoming, was the victim of what officials are saying is a prank, where pranksters planted marijuana seeds in city-owned flower pots this past spring.
While city workers cared for the plants, they were not aware that the plants were marijuana until they started to bloom according to The Powell Tribune.
Parks and Recreation staff had started to notice the distinctive looking leaves last month.
According to the Tribune, ironically one planter was even close to the police station.
Police Chief Roy Eckerdt said to the Tribune that the plants were “somebody’s sense of humor.”
