Russian state media is less than thrilled with famed actor Morgan Freeman. They are lashing back at Freeman for appearing in the Committee to Investigate Russia’s video.

In the video, the actor has said that the United States “came under attack by the Russian government.”

The Committee to Investigate Russia, which has Director Rob Reiner on the advisory committee, published the video “to spread information about Russia’s involvement in the 2016 U.S. presidential election and its threat to the country’s institutions.”

Rossiya 24 network of Russia has even used a panel of psychiatrists to explain why the actor said what he said. They captioned it “Hysterical Freeman” and said his appearance in the video was a result of a “Messianic complex” from playing God or the president in several of his films.

The network’s anchor even blamed the actor’s issues on “marijuana use” and “excessive workload.”

Film director Yuri Grymov, simply said, “I think, the grandpa just got drunk.” He dismissed Freeman’s statements as “rubbish.”

The country’s TV network Channel Five believes the actor has “lost millions of Russian fans in a moment.”
