The original Super Troopers was hilarious. The 2001 film by the Broken Lizard guys was a movie about goofy cops and had a lot of marijuana.
A sequel to the film is on the way sixteen years later, and the release date has just been announced.
According to Variety, the crowdfunded sequel will be released on April 20t, 2018.
In other words, the movie that has yet to be declared a stoner film but maybe should be, will be released on the Big Weed Day.
The original director Jay Chandrasekhar will be directing it and many of the original members of the movie will be revising their roles. Rob Lowe is also joining the cast.
