In a recent Yahoo! Finance interview, Jim Patterson, the CEO of cannabis delivery company Eaze believes that Amazon will eventually sell marijuana on its platform.

“I think there’s no doubt that eventually Amazon will get into this business. The question is, is that five years, 10 years, or 20 years? I think it will be a bit longer for them… until there’s much more clarity at the federal level [in the U.S.],” Patterson said.

There’s no denying that 2018 is going down as a very big year for marijuana legislation. California began recreational marijuana sales back in January, Massachusetts this summer, and Canada is expected to in October. Vermont also became the first state to agree to recreational marijuana legislation without even a legislative process.

The industry is growing fast and while marijuana remains illegal on the federal level, acceptance of the drug is higher than ever in America.
