Cypress Hill rapper B-Real is now the part owner of a marijuana dispensary in Sylmar, California.
Dubbed, Dr. Greenthumb’s, B-Real cut the ribbon at the dispensary on Wednesday, where a line of customers had come to meet the rapper while buying marijuana.
The name of the store may be familiar to some Cypress Hill fans, as it was the name of a similarly titled song that B-Real had produced.
According to B-Real, illegal sellers will be eventually pushed out of the market. He said, “You just have to figure out a way to keep what you’re doing in the shop at a quality that will compete with anything.”
Dr. Greenthumb’s carries a large variety of different strains and edible products.
One customer, Sandy Morales, remarked, “It’s kind of great. It’s like just going into a liquor store, like the mall. It’s wonderful.”
“It’s cleaner, they have more control over it, it’s being regulated,” said customer Antonia Ramos said.
