The reasoning behind passing out weed this past Saturday for one man in Florida was because it was Christmas.
Police arrested a man in St. Petersburg over the weekend for passing out marijuana.
The man, 67-year old Richard Ellis Spurrier, admitted to handing out marijuana “because it was Christmas.”
Spurrier had 45 grams of marijuana on him that he was giving to people passing by 16 2nd St. N. in St. Pete, according to his Pinellas County arrest report.
During an interview with police, he said he was sharing the drugs because of the holiday, WFLA reported.
The police had also found a hidden sword in Spurrier’s cane when they arrested. He faces a charge of possession of marijuana with the intent to sell.
