Colorado schools saw a almost 19% increase in marijuana-related suspensions across the state in the last year.
According to new numbers that had been released by the state, more students are being suspended for using the drug.
School districts have reported marijuana-specific statistics to the Colorado Department of Education for the last two years.
There were over 2,900 marijuana incidents reported by schools across the state two years ago and in the last academic year, that number is now over 3,400.
