The new Congressional marijuana bill has been given the number H.R. 420, a very marijuana like number.

It is on April 20th that marijuana fans have dubbed the day of celebration for the drug.

H.R. 420 was filed in the House on Wednesday by Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) and is titled the Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol Act. If the bill passes, it would remove cannabis from the federal Controlled Substances Act. It would establish a nationally regulated industry overseen by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

“While the bill number may be a bit tongue in cheek, the issue is very serious. Our federal marijuana laws are outdated, out of touch and have negatively impacted countless lives,” Blumenauer stated. “Congress cannot continue to be out of touch with a movement that a growing majority of Americans support. It’s time to end this senseless prohibition.”
