Eight states have started to see cannabis-based products pop up at some CVS stores.
CVS announced that the chan is selling cannabis-based products that include topicals, sprays, lotions, salves, and roll-ons. The company specified however that it is not selling any CBD-containing supplements or food addictives.

The eight states are: Alabama, California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland and Tennessee.

“We have partnered with CBD product manufacturers that are complying with applicable laws and that meet CVS’s high standards for quality,” a CVS spokesman said.

It was this past December that President Trump passed the farm bill which legalized hemp-derived CBD but according to FDA regulations, adding it to food and beverage products is still illegal.

It was this week that Curaleaf reported earnings with the CEO stating that over 800 CVS health stores across 10 states have started to sell the company’s products. It has not been confirmed however by CVS.
