While many across the world were laughing at a birthday cake mix up that went viral on the internet, the designer who made the cake didn’t find it a laughing matter.

Cassandra Walker, said “It’s not funny to me,” as she was fired by Dairy Queen.

It all began on July 2nd when Kensli Taylor Davis shared a Facebook post of her 25th birthday cake which was purchased at Dairy Queen. The cake showed a marijuana leaf instead of Disney’s Moana which was supposed to be on the cake. Davis said her mother asked for a “Moana”-themed cake from the Milledgeville, Georgia, Dairy Queen.

Her Facebook post had over 12,000 reactions and has been shared more than 13,000 times.

“I think they thought that she said ‘marijuana’ because we are from south Georgia and kind of have an accent. So, ‘Moana,’ marijuana?” Davis told WMAZ-TV in Georgia.

Walker, who is a mother of two, told USA TODAY she made the cake after her manager, who she says misheard Davis’ mother, told her it was OK.

Walker said Dairy Queen fired her for the mistake on Monday, which was incidentally also her birthday.

“It’s not funny to me. This is back-to-school time. I have two little girls here. I have a car that needs fixing. It’s not funny to me.”
