Well this has got to be the most creative way now to start delivering contraband to prisoners. According to a report in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a drone carrying contraband crashed into a prison yard at Georgia’s Washington State Prison on Monday at 10:45 at night.
The drone was carrying contraband such as cell phones, tobacco, and weed. Joan Heath, the corrections spokeswoman put out the complete list of what was in the drone:
One pound of weed, divided into sixteen individual bags
Four Samsung Galaxy J1 cell phones
One USB charger cable
31 C-230 oxycodone pills
7.8 ounces of tobacco, divided into two bags
According to Heath, there has been nobody at the prison, guard or inmate, linked to the event yet.
