The Washington State Department of Health posted some racially targeted anti-weed billboards in the Yakima area, and not surprisingly, they caused some major outrage.
People took to social media to quickly call out the bill boards which led to the department taking them down.

In the billboard, you see five Hispanic teenagers with the top line reading, “We don’t need pot to have fun.” Beneath that the line read: “We’re Hispanics…we’re cool by default.”

“The opinions of our shoppers are of utmost importance to us, so we have decided to remove the signage for the Washington State Department of Health advertising campaign,” said the Department after the backlash.

Though the campaign itself is to steer young people from cannabis, targeting the Hispanic community is what is being questioned.
