California is about to embark on what could be a huge money opportunity for the state.

On January 1st, marijuana will be recreationally legal in the Golden State.
Some have estimated that the marijuana industry could grow to $50 billion a year by 2026.

California has a stipulation however that marijuana cannot be combined with alcohol in the same product.

A winery in Sonoma, California, called Rebel Coast Winery, is finding a way around this.

Chip Forstyhe and Alex Howe, the founders of the company, are making a marijuana infused wine that has no alcohol.

“Turns out it’s way harder than it sounds, and there are no books or classes to take because no one has ever done it before,” said the duo.

The final product is an alcohol-free Sauvignon Blanc that has around 16 mg of THC in every bottle.

“We set out to mimic the experience you’d find with traditional wine; a couple glasses will put most people in a great place,” they said.
