According to a new poll, the support for marijuana legislation has hit a new high.
A Quinnipiac University poll was released on Thursday that revealed that almost two-thirds of U.S. voters are supporting the legalization of cannabis.

The survey revealed that support for legalization hit 63%. This is the highest level of support that the poll had ever recorded.

The support for medical marijuana hit 93% with only 5% of the respondents being against it.

Despite these strong numbers, when it comes to support, a third of Americans are still against the drug being legalized.

The C surveyed 1,193 voters from April 20-24. The poll has a margin of error that is plus or minus 3.4 percentage points.
