According to Argentina authorities, mice have eaten roughly 1,200 pounds of pot.
If this sounds crazy to you, it’s because it probably isn’t true. Eight police officers in Pinar, Argentina, have been fired over the disappearance of about 1,200 pounds of pot. The cops allege that “the mice ate the marijuana.
According to The Guardian, the officers say the marijuana, which was in a warehouse for impounded drugs, had been “eaten by mice.”
Around 13,220 pounds of marijuana had been registered there two years earlier and investigators had discovered that the amount now was over half a ton short.
A spokesperson for the judge said, “Buenos Aires University experts have explained that mice wouldn’t mistake the drug for food, and that if a large group of mice had eaten it, a lot of corpses would have been found in the warehouse.”
