According to the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs in the state of Michigan, residents who use medicinal marijuana are now offered online tools to register and get required certification from their doctors.

The Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs has said that patients without a caregiver can use the internet to apply for medical marijuana registry identification cards. These residents can also check the status of their application through a secure online account.

Patients who do not have a caregiver will also be able to go online to renew registry cards, as well as request replacement cards, update their name and address, and withdraw from the medical marijuana program in the future.

Any doctor registered with the program for a secure online account will now be able to certify their patients’ medical use of marijuana online.
