A very valuable amount of marijuana was just found in Texas. According to the Walker County Sheriff’s Office, $7,866,000 worth of marijuana plants were found on a property this past Friday.
The Office was dispatched to a possible narcotics call off of FM 2989, and deputies as well as investigators met with an employee of the property owner who said that while working on the property he found the plants.
After gaining permission to enter the property, the deputies as well as the Narcotics investigators located the plants and also spotted a Hispanic male walking towards them. When they said they were from the Sheriff’s office the male ran away into a wooded area. He has yet to be found.
5,255 marijuana plants were located on the property with a value of nearly $8 million. There was also a camp site found on the property that looked like it was a living quarter for someone.
This is an ongoing investigation for the office.
