It was this past July that Nevada started selling marijuana recreation-ally legally and dispensaries in the state sure raked in a lot of money.

In the very first month of sales, dispensaries made over $27 million according to figures that were released by the Nevada Department of Taxation.

Compared to Colorado and Oregon’s first month, the number is phenomenal. Colorado and Oregon each sold around $14 million in their respective first months of sale.

CEO of Reef Dispensaries Matt Morgan commented, “We came out of the gate like a shotgun.”

“I still don’t think everyone understands that it’s recreational in Nevada yet,” Morgan said.
