Since October, the state of Nevada has sold more than $37.9 million in recreational marijuana, hitting a new high.
Since the market for recreational marijuana became legal in July, the state has seen almost $20 million in tax revenue.
Stephanie Klapstein, a spokeswoman for the Department of Taxation said to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, “We are pretty on target with projections, maybe a little over.”
Nevada has been outperforming other states in the nation since launching recreational marijuana this past summer.
California is on its way to allowing recreational marijuana as soon as the new year starts.
