Many suspect that the legalization of recreational marijuana in states will lead to a boost in revenue for the state, but one report has revealed that the boost is not that much.
According to credit rating agency Moody’s Investor Service, who released a study this Tuesday, legalizing recreational marijuana will help bring more money to governments than it costs to regulate the drug.
However, the agency has also said that the revenue effect is minimal on local governments in states with legalized pot.
