New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo addressed in his annual budget earlier this month that the state Department of Health should find out by what is readily available, what legal marijuana might mean for New Yorkers.
He said on January 16th, “Marijuana—things are happening.”
He also said, “If it was legalized in Jersey and it was legal in Massachusetts and the federal government allowed it to go ahead, what would that do to New York because it’s right in the middle?”
Cuomo has been known for his opposition of the drug and has called it a “Gateway Drug” last year.
