The state of New York is getting closer to legalizing recreational marijuana in the state.
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has commissioned a study that will recommend that the state allow adults to consume marijuana legally.
The news came from the governor’s health commission on Monday, Dr. Howard Zucker, who said, “We looked at the pros, we looked at the cons, and when we were done, we realized that the pros outweighed the cons.” He added, “We have new facts.”
The findings of the report still need to be finalized but could soon make New York one of the next states to allow legal recreational marijuana.
