Ohio made a big move this week by awarding a three year contract to a New Jersey-based company to operate a toll-free help line for medicinal marijuana patients.

The contract is worth a whopping $1 billion and will be accessible for patients, caregivers, and doctors who access Ohio’s medicinal marijuana program.

Direct Success Inc.’s Ohio subsidiary Extra Step Assurance will be operating the medical marijuana help line from a call center in Bellefontaine

Direct Success CEO Cheryl McDaniel commented, “Our job is not to convince people if medical cannabis is appropriate for them. Our job is to give them the information so they can talk with their physicians. They have to decide what’s right for them.”

Per the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy contract, the hotline needs to be staffed Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
