According to data from the California Bureau of Cannabis Control, California is having an issue with some batches of marijuana.
One out of five batches of the plant have failed laboratory testing since the state’s new safety requirements started on July 1st.
Bacteria, pesticides, or processing chemical contamination or inaccurate labeling has led to the failures. The new requirements have also led to backlogs at labs.
The state has 31 testing labs with most in Northern California. Another problem is that many aren’t even taking customers.
