Oregon’s Liquor Control Commission has announced that it will be pausing any applications it receives for marijuana licenses after June 15th.
The commission has said that there is a backlog of applications for the recreational marijuana licenses and until the pileup is cleared, accepting any more applications will be paused.
The commission says it has issued almost 1,900 recreational marijuana licenses since April 2016.
In order to get through the backlog, the Liquor Control Commission will be moving employees temporarily to focus on renewals and applications that have been submitted already.
