Amy Klobuchar, a Democratic presidential candidate, has spoken out this week about her support for legalizing marijuana.

The Missouri senator’s statement was first reported by the Washington Post and then later given to CNN by a spokesperson.

Klobuchar stated, “I support the legalization of marijuana and believe that states should have the right to determine the best approach to marijuana within their borders.”

Missouri will be voting on a recreational marijuana bill this year.

Klobuchar joins other candidates who also support legalizing marijuana, including Bernie Sanders, Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, and Kirsten Gillibrand.
