According to a report released by Marijuana Business Daily, entitled, “2018 Marijuana Business Factbook,” legal sales of marijuana could hit $10 billion in 2018 in the United States.
It could then skyrocket to $22 billion by 2022!
According to the report, California now selling legal recreational marijuana will play a big part in these figures.
The market in the Golden State is expected to push nationwide sales of recreational marijuana from $2.7 billion last year to a range of $4 to $5 billion this year.
The report has also revealed that the state of Nevada has made nearly $49 million in marijuana taxes.
Massachusetts is also set to allow legal marijuana sales in July of this year.
