It was not that long ago that actor Seth Rogen made the big announcement that he would be starting his own marijuana company.

It seems many fans are excited about the launch because his cannabis company’s website crashed due to the high demand.

The company made its launch day last Thursday for Rogen’s Houseplant brand and the website had promptly crashed due to increased volume.

“Well… we have underestimated you once again. Due to insane traffic we took the Houseplant site down temporarily while I learn to write code,” Rogen initially tweeted. “I’m very sorry if you’ve been waiting. There’s still a lot of products available! I will let you know as soon as it’s up again.”

The Canadian actor took to Twitter a few hours later to announce that the issue was fixed. He wrote, “I fixed it! Happy to say https://t.co/76c9ITyetr is back up and running! We still have a waiting room set up to deal with traffic. Head there now to shop explore our Housegoods (and other things on our website!).”

Houseplant was founded by Rogen and Evan Goldberg in 2019 through a strategic partnership with the global cannabis and hemp company Canopy Growth. The brand operates out of Toronto.

“Houseplant is a passion we’ve brought to life through drive and dedication,” Rogen said of the company’s launch. “Every decision we’ve made for the business reflects the years of education, first-hand experience and respect we have for cannabis.”

Houseplant offers strains of dried flower cannabis, softgel capsules and pre-rolled joints. According to the company, they are dedicated to quality, education, guidance and elevation of cannabis to enhance the lives of Canadians.
