If you’re going to be busted with marijuana in the city of St. Louis, be prepared to pay a pretty affordable fine of $25.

The city has officially lowered the fine that is issued for having small amounts of marijuana possession to $25 from previously being in the $100 to $500 range back in 2013.

The 2018 bill which was sponsored by aldermanic president Lewis Reed, was passed unanimously by the city’s board of Alermen. Mayor Lyda Kewson signed the bill into a law on February 2nd and it went into effect immediately.
