The city of Austin in Texas will be home to the state’s very first medical marijuana dispensary.
The dispensary is expected to open next month.
The Texas Department of Public Safety granted the first three medical marijuana licenses just a few months ago and the Austin location will be the first to open its doors to Texas medical marijuana patients.
The dispensary, called Compassionate Cultivation, will open on February 8th and will allow qualified patients access to low-THC medical cannabis products and state-regulated cannabidiol oil, known as CBD oil, from a shop at 12701 Lowden Ln. in Manchaca.
Only state registered patients or their guardians will be able to purchase any products.
The company’s CEO Morris Denton said, “We are thrilled to offer the highest quality medical cannabis products, with plants grown and refined by our cultivation and engineering experts at our state-of-the-art facility.”
