Thailand is a place many wish to visit for its scenery, but now there is another reason to put Thailand on the list for travel.
At least for marijuana enthusiasts.
The country has a fast food chain with a product called Crazy Happy Pizza that has pizza made with cannabis.
The Pizza Company is promoting its “Crazy Happy Pizza,” which is made with real cannabis but won’t get customers high.
“Of course, they cannot get high,” the company’s general manager Panusak Suensatboon told the Associated Press. “It’s just a marketing campaign and you can taste the cannabis and then if you have enough, you maybe get a bit sleepy.”
As far as pricing, a 9-inch sized Crazy Happy Pizza pie will cost about $15 and is comprised of toppings inspired by Thailand’s famous Tom Yum Gai soup.
“I don’t think the market is ready for cannabis products yet. We knew this since the beginning,” he told the newswire service. “We only wanted to be the first mover to launch something new and innovative in the market.”
The company also created durian pizza, which incorporates the exotic and expensive tropical Asian fruit known for its sharply strong smell.
“We try to get some new ingredients, anything that is in trend, and we use it and we want people to talk about it,” said Suensatboon.
