There is a new study taking place at the University of Washington School of Medicine that has been getting some major back lash on Twitter.

The study, entitled, Moms + Marijuana, is seeking area participants to examine the effects of “prenatal marijuana use on infant development.”

The study’s goal is to see whether or not using cannabis to alleviate morning sickness is damaging to babies.

Alex Berenson, a former NY reporter, tweeted, “Hey @momsmarijuana – as you offer to pay expectant mothers to use cannabis, will you be informing them of the research findings in @JAMAPsych showing that prenatal maternal cannabis use is linked to psychotic symptoms in kids? Asking for a friend from Tuskegee.”
