The American Legion with represents 2.4 million veterans, will be pushing the Indiana General Assembly for medical marijuana.

The Legion’s Indiana American chapter will be pushing for marijuana reform which has a chance of passing in the state of Indiana in 2018. Jim Lucas, a Republican lawmaker, is is pushing his legislation in 2018 that supports the drug.

Lucas has said that marijuana could be a possible treatment for PTSD and may help in the opioid crisis.

A recent American Legion independent survey found that 81% of veterans think that the federal government should legalize medicinal marijuana.
