WeWork has made many headlines recently, in particular for delaying its highly awaited IPO.

The co-working office space company is getting major pressure to boot its CEO Adam Newmann.

The company’s board is likely to convene this week, according to people familiar with the matter said a Los Angeles Times report.

The board has not yet scheduled a definitive time to meet, said the people, who remain anonymous.

Masayoshi Son, the founder and CEO of Japanese conglomerate SoftBank Group Corp., is also pushing for Neumann to resign, a person familiar with the matter said. SoftBank is the company’s biggest investor.

A recent Wall Street Journal profile hasn’t painted Neumann in the best light.
Neumann apparently wishes to become the world’s first trillionaire and Israel’s prime minister. According to one of the Journal’s source, Neumann has privately told those around him that if he were to go for a political office, it would be the President of the World.

Many friends have also reported that the CEO is fond of consuming marijuana while flying.

“After the group landed in Israel and left the plane, the flight crew found a sizable chunk of the drug stuffed in a cereal box for the return flight, according to people familiar with the incident,” the Journal wrote. “The jet’s owner, upset and fearing repercussions of trans-border marijuana transport, recalled the plane, leaving Mr. Neumann to find his own way back to New York, these people said.”
