800,000 people are out of work because of the government shut down that still has no end in sight. These workers are not getting a paycheck and many are struggling to survive.

One company is trying to give back a little and help these workers out by offering free marijuana.

BudTrader.com, which has called itself the “largest online cannabis marketplace” and has also been referred to as the “Craigslist of weed,” will offer free medical marijuana to government workers who can’t pay for it because of the shutdown.

“I don’t think federal employees are getting enough love and support, in these tough times, we want to extend the offer of a donation of medical cannabis to any federal worker affected by the shutdown,” BudTrader CEO Brad McLaughlin stated.

BudTrader.com is working with an attorney to “ensure that all cannabis donations given to federal employees are confidential and compliant with California Cannabis adult use laws and regulations.”

The company also said that it will donate “the maximum legal allowable amount of cannabis” to any affected government employees.
