A huge decision was made this week that will allow an 11-year old girl to use medical marijuana at school.

A federal judge has granted the permission to an 11-year old in Schaumburg Illinois. The young girl is a leukemia patient who also has seizures.

The federal judge ruled on Friday that the young girl will be able to use marijuana in school.

Her parents had sued a Schaumburg-based school district and the state of Illinois for her to have the right to take medical marijuana at school so that she can treat her seizure disorders.

The girl has been taking chemotherapy to treat her leukemia and has had seizure disorders and epilepsy as a result.

The plaintiffs aleged that the ban of the state in taking marijuana at school is unconstitutional.
