It seems that Detroit citizens are wanting restrictions relaxed on medical marijuana facilities.

Voters came out to vote “yes” to make it easier for dispensaries to open and operate in the city.

The “yes” vote had 60% of the vote by late Tuesday when already more than 96% of the precincts had reported.

The “yes” vote in regards to zones was also leading with 58% of the vote.

It in was 2016 that Detroit adopted an ordinance that made it harder for marijuana dispensaries in the city to operate. Since March of last year when it went into effect, 186 of the city’s 283 dispensaries had been shut down which sold medical marijuana.
