Authorities announced on Wednesday that hundreds of federal and local law enforcement agents have seized around 100 homes in Northern California in marijuana raids.
The houses had been purchased using money that was wired from a China-based crime organization to the U.S.
The houses were growing massive amounts of marijuana illegally.
It was months of investigating with a focus on dozens of Chinese nationals that had purchased the homes in seven counties in Northern California.
Most of the buyers were in thre country legally accord to U.S. Attorney McGregor Scott.
