Philly’s medical marijuana registered card holders will be happy to know that the city’s first marijuana dispensary has opened in Fishtown.

Around 20 patients made a stop at Restore Integrative Wellness on Wednesday to buy medicinal marijuana for the first time ever in Philadelphia.

There have been roughly two dozen other medical marijuana dispensaries that have opened as well since the state of Pennsylvania legalized medicinal marijuana in 2016.

Christina Casile, who designed the Restore dispensary, said, “We wanted the facility to be warm and inviting. This is a place we want parents to feel comfortable bringing their kids to.”

Restore will sell a variety of items from five of the state’s certified marijuana growers.

Vipul Patel, Restore’s COO said, “We feel fantastic – we made history today. It’s a great day for us. We hope it’s a great day for Philadelphia.”

The store is opened Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
