The state of Ohio has awarded 12 businesses in the state the rights to grow medical marijuana on large farms.

There were a total of 109 applicants to run the marijuana farms and only twelve were picked. Medical marijuana growers can build spaces as large as 25,000 square feet.

Obviously there was some fierce competition and one applicant is already challenging the choices the state made.

According to Chairman and CEO Jimmy Gould of CannAscend, he has started a “full-throated challenge of the selection process.”
