A Virginia man named Wallace Grove Godwin was arrested on Friday after threatening congressional staffers.

The 69-year old man told staffers for U.S. Representative Scott Taylor on Thursday that if a marijuana discussion did not go his way he would attend a Saturday event with a shotgun. According to Capital Police special agent quotes, Godwin was quoted as saying, “I will just handle this myself,” and told the staffers, “You two are next.”

It is not known what the man was upset over but he is charged with threatening to murder and assault a United States official. He may face a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison if he is convicted.
